Project

Spiders are remarkable animals. They can easily adapt to their surrounding and are extremely agile even in rough terrain. Their fragile appearance and distinctive movement have always fascinated people’s imagination.
 
The goal of this project is to develop a walking robot which resembles a spider in its proportions as well as in its fluid motion. These expectations are mirrored in every part of the project: in the reproduction of the natural step sequence, the dimensioning of the long and fragile legs and the organic design of the robot. In addition the end product will be intuitively and easily operable. This results in many challenges which will have to be tackled by the team.
